Founded by Lincoln K. Loy and Edward Lange in 1897, Loy-Lange Box Company began operations at 2nd Street and Chouteau Avenue as a manufacturer of wooden boxes.
Growing business allowed us to build at our current location one mile to the south in 1904 to accommodate the production of solid fiber boxes. Located near the cooling caves of South St. Louis, Loy-Lange was in a unique position to supply wooden and solid fiber boxes to the many breweries in the city.
In 1916, Loy-Lange Box Company became one of the first manufacturers to install a corrugator after the trucking and railroad industries' approval of the corrugated box as an alternative to solid fiber and wooden boxes.
Today, we are one of the last independently owned manufactures in this market.
For five generations,
Loy-Lange Box Company
has led the evolution from a wooden box manufacturer to a full service,
turn-key packaging provider.
Our current footprint spans four city
blocks, plus 6 unimproved acres for further expansion and a combined 300,000 sqft of manufacturing facilities .
